Gordon Lightfoot - Live in Reno- It is a movie that everyone can enjoy together.This is something not usually seen in movies of this type, so it makes it an unusual, yet pleasant experience.The movie is absolutely stunning and Jennifer Saunders deliver some award-winning performances in this movie. I also think Joanna Lumley was great!

I think Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley worked wonderful in Gordon Lightfoot - Live in Reno. The great supporting cast includes Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks, Llewella Gideon.

You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!

Live in Reno is a solid overview of an admirable career, even if this Gordon Lightfoot is not what he once was. The singer-songwriter, 61 when the 90-minute show was recorded in April 2000, looks gaunt, and his distinctive voice is on the frail side. Still, he has accumulated a remarkable catalog of material over the course of some four decades, and nearly all of the biggies are among the 22 songs performed here by Lightfoot and his four-piece band, from the early classics popularized by other artists ("For Lovin' Me," "Early Morning Rain") to his own best-known hits ("If You Could Read My Mind," "Sundown," "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"). There are no theatrics or flashy production values, just a group of middle-aged men playing their music--and playing it well. So even if it's not especially exciting, fans will be satisfied. --Sam Graham

The Crow- has always been a favorite of mine.Through out the movie, Brandon Lee simply shines. Rochelle Davis actually caught my interest too.

I think Brandon Lee and Rochelle Davis worked wonderful in The Crow. The great supporting cast includes Brandon Lee, Rochelle Davis, Ernie Hudson, Michael Wincott, Ling Bai.

Summary of The Crow:
The Crow set the standard for dark and violent comic-book movies (like Spawn or director Alex Proyas's superior follow-up, Dark City), but it will forever be remembered as the film during which star Brandon Lee (son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee) was accidentally killed on the set by a loaded gun. The filmmakers were able to digitally sample what they'd captured of Lee's performance and piece together enough footage to make the movie releasable. Indeed, it is probably more fascinating for that post-production story than for the tale on the screen. The Crow is appropriately cloaked in ominous expressionistic shadows, oozing urban dread and occult menace from every dank concrete crack, but it really adds up to a simple and perfunctory tale of ritual revenge. Guided by a portentous crow (standing in for Poe's raven), Lee plays a deceased rock musician who returns from the grave to systematically torture and kill the outlandishly violent gang of hoodlums who murdered him and his fiance the year before. The film is worth watching for its compelling visuals and genuinely nightmarish, otherworldly ambience. Unfortunately, the digital video disc includes no extras about the production. --Jim Emerson
